By the end of the first season, he's back to his old level of skill. So much so that, even after becoming a Broken Ace, his former reputation is still strong enough to bring him some measure of respect.

There's just one problem Galavant has spent the last year or so doing nothing but drinking and becoming a sour and depressed shut-in, so he's not really up for playing the hero. Her kingdom has come under attack by Richard, and she wants Galavant to liberate it. About a year later, a despondent Galavant is approached by Isabella, the princess of Valencia. However, when Galavant attempted to rescue her, Madalena chose to marry Richard for the fame and fortune instead of returning to Galavant.

#Tad cooper lizard series
The series follows the exploits of the famous knight Galavant, whose true love Madalena was kidnapped by the evil King Richard.

It’s not like she had a kid or anything, though, so life’s good.Galavant is a musical-comedy series which first aired on ABC during the 2014/2015 midseason winter break, bridging the gap between season halves of Once Upon a Time. The only thing he really regrets is not getting the name of that sexy black dragon who he had a bit of a fling with, but they really weren’t into words at the time. But holy crap, Richard somehow becomes king again and really does believe in him, and that breaks the enchantment. Tad thinks he’s got it made worst case, he stays on as Richard’s pet and lives a pretty good life. Then he finds this silly king who is really good to him, and for some crazy or reason or another, actually believes in him. But because the first person who finds him is a witch, he ends up cursed to remain as a lizard until someone believes in him. I wonder if he knew Robin? Maybe they were both outlaws (competitors, maybe?) and then Tad Cooper got caught, and turned himself into a lizard to escape? He’s clearly a dragon who doesn’t like burning people to death, so being a lizard was much safer. This has the makings of a lovely backstory. Being the pet of a freaking king is hitting the gold mine (he also grew fond of the silly guy) Anonymous asked: What if tad cooper turned to a lizard to avoid the law but stayed that way when he was taken in by king richard.
